Mia Cooper

Mia Cooper was a pupil at Chetham?s School of Music in Manchester before studying at the Royal Northern College of Music with Yossi Zivoni, and later at the Paris Conservatoire. She spent five years as Principal first violin of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and now plays with many of London?s orchestras and chamber ensembles, including the Barbican trio, Schubert Ensemble, and Fibonacci Sequence. She has appeared as guest leader with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, City of London Sinfonia, Dublin RTE Concert Orchestra, and Goldberg ensemble. Mia recently participated in chamber music festivals in Bombay, at Montigny, in France, and in Lithuania, where she returns this summer for 10 experimental performances of ?A Midsummer Night?s Dream? where both roles and music will be performed by seven players.
